New Printable Freebie
Hi Friends!
I've been busy learning how to use Dreamweaver to build my own website. It's been a challenge to learn something new, but I felt it was time. What I've created is a bit simple, but it's my first try so I'd have to say, not bad for a beginner! Me + html = GAAAAH!
My new website is www.amandamcgeedesigns.com
To entice you to go look, I've posted a new printable freebie for your personal, non-commercial use. These are some fun Lunch Notes perfect for kids lunchboxes. Simply print, cut and add your own message, joke or fun bit of trivia. I did a google search for kids trivia and knock-knock jokes and you can find some pretty silly things out there in internetland. Here's a sample of what I wrote on some for my kids.
"Did you know that starfish don't have brains? Good thing you have one so you can do well in school!"
"Knock Knock,
who's there?
Aardvark.
Aardvark who?
Aardvark a hundred miles for one of your smiles!"
Well, you get the drift. A little cheesy, but fun for them to find in their lunch. Have fun, and enjoy!

December Days
The elves arrived a few days ago and our halls are decked with Christmas sparkle. December is upon us, and my kids can not WAIT to start their Lego advent calendar. This is the first Lego one that they have had (and they are sharing it!) In the years past, we have had the advent boxes, filled with tiny ornaments and little secret notes. Well, I'd hate to miss out on that fun activity so I've made an advent garland with mini envelopes and little tickets inside. Each ticket lists a fun Christmas activity, some with good will in mind, some just silly things to do. Personally, I look forward to that one (probably as much as the kids look forward to their legos!)
It's not too late if you want to make one too! I've made two versions, December Days Advent Calendar Craft, with red and green stripes and dots, ready to print.
The other is ScrapSimple Craft Templates: December Days Advent Calendar, a greyscale template version for you to personalize to your liking.
You might also like the coordinating December Days Collection.
Enjoy! And Happy Holidays!

Thankful for Autumn
Well, I didn't completely miss Autumn here in blogland. I made an Autumn header, which will probably be up for maybe a week, if that! As soon as I post this, I'm sure I'll be at work on my holiday banner. I'm ready to put our Christmas tree up! Hopefully we will this weekend.:) In the meantime, I really am thankful for Autumn, the cooler temperatures, the last few days left of the beautiful colors, and time spent with family. Meanwhile, here's some fall goodies that I've added to the Scrap Girls boutique.

Summer Vacation
Something new.... Summer Vacation Collection Biggie. I was inspired by vintage campers, motel chairs, retro swim suits and the easy breezy feeling of relaxing on a sunny summer day. Ahhh, someone pass the lemonade ;)

Doodle Dude
After getting my mom set up on Blogger, I figured I should try to get back into the habit of blogging. At least sharing my latest additions to the Scrap Girls Boutique! So, here goes: announcing the newest addition to the doodle family, my Doodle Dude! I'm sure it's obvious that this one was inspired by my little dude. He loves cars, space, building blocks, you know- all things boy! I've had a request for some brush sets from this set, so hopefully I'll be working on those soon. :)
Here's a layout of my little dude when he was 3 1/2, totally into Cars. After he saw this layout, he had me take some photos of him with his ever expanding collection of Lightning McQueen's. I guess I'll have to get working on a new layout! Stay tuned....
