Mini Me's!

I'm so excited! I just got confirmation from Gemmie Lou that she has completed my custom order for my little wood family! I found her through a post on Tara Whitney's blog (I am totally a lurker/stalker of her blog) and I think she found it through Danille Thompson's blog (um, yeah, stalk that one too!)
Perhaps you've noticed, I love to paint and be creative. I know that I could have painted these myself. I even thought about just ordering the shapes from her and doing it myself, but then after looking at the other little people she has painted- I just adored her style and wanted to support her creativity. Much like people that support me through Scrap Girls. This is the first time I've ever purchased anything from Etsy. I've heard such good things about it, and I'm looking forward to finding more hidden gems! Thanks Gemmie, for such a fun little wood family. I look forward to their arrival! :)
And stay tuned for another fun and happy collection from me. Funny how things go, I was sketching out ideas for a happy family collection last fall, and finally got to create it this month. I've been busy working on it, almost had it done for this week but it's going to have to wait until next week before it's totally completed. Quite good timing actually, maybe my happy little family will have to make it into a layout!

Little Critters

Here's that Little Critters collection. It was a challenge, but it ended up being a really fun kit!

Bee Mine

Will you Bee Mine? I made these cute little bee candy wrappers as a Valentine craft, I'm hoping to get more made for my kids for their classmates. (you can find the craft at the Scrap Girls website here: Bee Mine Valentine Candy Wrapper Craft) Hoping, meaning I hope I don't have to make them all and I'll get some assistance from Maddy (if I don't eat all the candy in the meantime!) It's snowing outside, so maybe we'll get lucky enough and have a snow day tomorrow?!! Bees will definately be on the agenda for sure. Meanwhile, I've been a busy bee working away on a little critter collection, it will be done soon! It has been a very challenging project. It was given to me as a challenge, and it was suggested...no.. insisted.. ahem....that I could make a cute small pets kit. I'm not particularly fond of 'rodents.' So, this was definately a challenge. I searched the internet and found some photos that made the little critters look kindof cute. I've been stewing about it for several weeks now and finally got time over the week to really work it out. It is a little bit quirky (no surprise), very colorful (no big surprise) and doodley and painty (are you seeing a theme here in my kits?!!) Can't show you yet... maybe later in the week! So, these bees will just have to do for now. Have a BEE-utiful day! ;)
